Two stories about financial aid for university study in California
1. Cal Grants are available -Deadline is March 2
2. Scholarship scammers prey on students in need

Every year many Portuguese-American students do not go to college for fear of how much it will cost. Yet every year, lots of State scholarship money is not awarded. One problem is that many students wait too long to apply and it is after the deadline. It is now time for high school seniors to begin researching and gathering information for their applications for scholarships. Pass this information to anyone you know who may need a reminder to apply for financial aid.
