Milton joined NACA after graduating in 1951 from the University of Vermont.
NACA became NASA in 1958 as the space agency.
He worked on every manned spacecraft program: Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, Space Station,
Shuttle and as a consultant on Orion.
Milton retired after 36 years as NASA Chief Engineer from NASA Headquarters.
